Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Nearly 20 years in healthcare. Founder of Beacon Hormone & Wellness. Practicing a different kind of medicine — one built around prevention, partnership, and finding the actual answer.
I'm a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare. Over the course of that career, I became increasingly disillusioned with a system that too often profits from chronic disease rather than preventing it.
I watched patients cycle through appointments, accumulate prescriptions, and leave visits without a clear understanding of why they weren't feeling better. I became tired of the 10-minute appointment model — where there's time to address a symptom but not to understand a person.
Beacon Hormone & Wellness reflects a different philosophy. One that starts with why — why is this person fatigued, why can't they lose weight, why do their labs look "fine" when they clearly aren't fine. One that prioritizes lifestyle over prescription, prevention over reaction, and a real relationship over a transactional encounter.
I believe that most chronic disease is preventable — and that the window to prevent it is much earlier than the medical system typically acts. I believe that insulin resistance, hormonal decline, and metabolic dysfunction are not inevitable consequences of aging — they are conditions that respond to the right intervention at the right time.
I believe that patients deserve a provider who has actually read their chart before walking into the room. Who gives them the time to explain what's happening in plain language. Who treats them as an intelligent adult capable of making good decisions with the right information.
And I believe — informed by my own faith — that caring for people is a calling, not just a career. That the relationship between a provider and patient carries weight and deserves to be honored accordingly.
Washington State has significant rural populations with limited access to the kind of thoughtful, preventive, hormone-focused care I practice. Telemedicine removes the geographic barrier without sacrificing the quality of the relationship. My patients get a 60-minute visit with a provider who knows their name, their history, and their goals — from wherever they are in the state.
I practice on Fridays — intentionally, as a focused, unhurried day dedicated entirely to this work. This isn't a side project. It's a carefully considered practice built around doing fewer things at a higher level of quality.
Insulin resistance, prediabetes, and metabolic dysfunction — identified early with the right tests, addressed with lifestyle-first interventions and clinical guidance.
Testosterone for men and estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone for women — prescribed thoughtfully when clinically indicated as part of a long-term health strategy.
Catching cardiovascular, metabolic, and hormonal risk before it becomes chronic disease. Advanced lab testing that goes beyond what a standard annual checkup covers.
Beacon Hormone & Wellness is a cash-pay practice. No insurance gatekeeping, no rushed appointments, no incentive to over-prescribe. Just a provider who has the time and the freedom to actually focus on your health.
Available to all Washington State residents via telemedicine. The initial consultation is 60 minutes — enough time to actually understand your situation.
